Dropbox
Dropbox is a popular file syncing and backup solution which lets you keep all your computers and your HTC Evo in sync. With Dropbox installed on your Mac or PC, you can access a copy of any of your files on your computer right from your Evo. All of the syncing is done silently for you once you setup Dropbox. You can also access files via a web-interface, making it easy to share files and documents with friends or co-workers. Once you create an account and install the software on your computer and this app on your HTC Evo, you can forget all about it and simply work with files and folders, all the while knowing that every change you make is reflected across all your computing devices.
Searching, organizing, and uploading files to Dropbox from your Evo is very simple and can all be done in a few taps. You can share files through a link (the file is hosted on Dropbox’s server) or as an attachment in an email. Document types are identified and the right viewers are opened to read or edit specific files. Files are viewable as a list on your Evo and the associated meta-data is displayed with each file, including the size and last-modified date. Needless to say, the app works perfectly well over Wi-Fi and 3G/4G data connections. The interface is easy-to-use and very functional. A must-have app for any HTC Evo user who works with documents or files on a regular basis and likes to keep all of their computing devices in sync and backed up.
