Seesmic – Evo Applications
Seesmic is an excellent featureful Twitter client for your HTC Evo. This Evo app offers full Twitter functionality, including photo and video uploads integration as well as geolocation and links. Full Twitter functionality that includes viewing your tweet timeline, @replies, direct messages, lists, trends, etc. is supported. It’s also blazing fast and uses a cache that really helps with load time when you first launch the application.
More than anything it’s the speed that sets this app apart from its competitors. Where another app might take a few seconds to pull up the relevant tweets, Seesmic does it in a fraction of that time. There are however some interface elements that still need some work. This Evo app comes with fill notifications support on your Sprint smartphone. You can configure the app to notify you when a new direct message or @reply comes in. And you can set how the notification is done – via a customizable sound, or simply a message in the notification bar. An excellent alternative to Twidroid.
