Slide Screen is designed for those Evo users who have a lot of information they need to access on their Android smartphones. Slide Screen is a home replacement application that pulls in data from a variety of sources – SMS, gmail, stocks, Google Reader, Calendar, and Twitter just to name a few. It presents all of the data in an easy-to-digest format right on your HTC Evo’s homescreen. Slide Screen comes with a draggable slider that emphasizes the content within. You can open each individual app by clicking on the relevant information nugget.
Slide Screen can help you make sense of a lot of information on your Evo. Furthermore, the information comes and finds you as the data changes, instead of you going to seek out specific information. This can help you stay on top of ongoing events – particularly useful for journalists and other businesses that need to stay on top of the News streams. One drawback is that it take s a tad longer than the default homescreen to launch up. Some might also find the interface a little too … innovative.
